Mother and calf Killer Whales (Orcinus orca).
Two friendly Gray Whales (Eschrichtius robustus) spy hop at the same time. There were actually three whales fooling around with Risso's Dolpins (Grampus griseus) nearby.
The long "wing" or pectoral fin of a Humpback Whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) ensnared in bull kelp (Nereocytsis lutkeana) and giant kelp (Macrocystis pyrifera). Humpbacks frequently roll around and "play" with drifting kelp paddies.
