2014 12-21 SB Channel

A brisk, gray day with a large west swell and heavy chop. Conditions made it hard to get set up on whales. We had one mid-Channel spout, but it was "one and done." The Santa Cruz Island tour was very nice, and we had several pods of long-beaked common dolphins and two very small pods of Dall's porpoise. As usual, the panoramic vistas were spectacular on this gray day. The wildlife photography was not ideal with spray up to the flying bridge, etc. Still, a day at sea is better than a day on flat land.
